GMC Model SUPERANDOM Random Length End-Matcher. 

(6) Stations on both sides, each with an 8 HP high precision motor. The system will machine Lock and T&G profiles and can handle boards up to 10' long and 10'' wide.

Flexible End-Matcher with a unique random working technique for machining pieces with different widths & lengths at a continuous cycle without having to constantly set-up the machine.  The machine has two working stations:

Specifications: 

1st Work Station: 


  At the infeed of the machine, a driven roller conveyor transfers parts to the Left Hand reference guide.  Bars attached to the feed chains push the parts to the 1st working area on the LH side of the machine. One end of the piece is machined by the operating units.

2nd Work Station: 

  The 2nd driven roller conveyor carries the parts toward the opposite side of the machine (Right Hand).  As before, bars attached to the feed chains, push the parts to the 2nd working area on the RH side of the machine. The other opposite end of the part is machined by the operating units.
 
Base: 

  Base structure in monolithic steel, treated and stabilized for supporting the feed chain beams and chains, the top pressure beams, and the operating units.


  Base length: 35'-4" (10800mm).
 
Feed System: 

  Feed speed is via inverter-controlled gear-motor for the working speed; continuously monitored by means of potentiometer placed on the console board with digital read-out.

  Working speed up to 118 FPM (36 MPM). 


  Digital Axis on the feed of the feed chains for the automatic handling of the digital in-out commands for the jump operating units, including: encoder and 0 micro.


  (4) Feed chains, (2 on the RH side & 2 on the LH side of the machine), each composed of  (252) precision links (3.543” or 90 mm pitch) in treated ground steel, linked together by junction links with hardened pins rolling on dust-proof, lubricated for life cylindrical bearings.


 Distance between the two feed chains: 9.8” (3000 mm).


 Cleaning and lubricating system for the feed chains by means of compressed air blowers fitted inside the chain-holder beams in the area of the idle sprockets.


 Interchangeable Vulkolan-coated plates.


 Bars (for pushing the pieces through the machine) attached to the feed chains and fitted every 14.17” (360 mm).


 Feed chain width: 2.95” (75 mm).


 Feed chain beams with 12-tooth drive sprockets. 


 Precision chain tracks roll via bearings on hardened steel ground guides which have a cylindrical profile. 


 Bottom (return) support for the chain with rubber-covered rollers supporting the chains.


 Total pressurization via blowers for the bottom beams to avoid dust and chips from entering the feed-track area.


 Powered rotating brushes for cleaning the feed chain surface .
 
Top Pressure: 

  Special top pressure beams. Vertical travel via a screw, manually controlled with mechanical digital indicator. 


  Approaching hold-back devices fitted on the top pressure beams at the infeed of the machine, to ensure that the pieces stay against the bars which are attached to the feed chains.
 
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

 Remote control for controlling by impulses the feed for setting up the machine. 


 Cables connecting the machine to the control cabinet:  9.8’ (3m) long.


 Full digital controlled INVERTER for rotation at 6,000 RPM of all operating units, complete with inductor and motor brake card.
