Description:

WESTERN PNEUMATICS FJW2VF20 Heavy Duty Production Finger Jointer. 

Right & left shaper section. - Cap.: 5/8" - 2" Max. thickness, 1-1/2" - 8" max. width, 5" min. - 36" max. length.

Equipped with:

  (2) Scoring saws, 7-1/2 HP - 3,600 RPM motors, (2) trim saws, 7-1/2 HP - 3,600 RPM motors, (2) shaper motors, 20 HP - direct drive 3,600 RPM motors.

  2-1/2" Wide WESTERN feed chain, angle transfer conveyor and 15 HP variable speed drive with speeds up to (120) lugs per minute.


  Air Bag Pressure Head with quick change feature & brush holddowns


  APQUIP extrusion type glue applicator with meter mixing system


  Transfer to the assembly press via powered manual corner transfer


  17' Extra length Assembly Infeed Conveyor with electronic ramp up/down infeed package, powered side alignment rolls and top and bottom pre-assembly rolls.


  Assembly Press: 20' finished board length, hydraulic squeeze board press and board ejection; with rapid stop-and-chop 7-1/2 HP heavy duty cutoff saw. With automatic cycling, feed speed varies automatically depending on block and cutoff lengths, 50 - 200 FPM.

Pieces advance through the cutoff saw to a moveable limit switch and are cut to length, arranged for continuous assembly, the cut to length piece drops down into a final squeeze chamber while the next piece is cut to length, finished lengths are pushed out hydraulically by the next piece onto material outfeed arms.


  Includes: Set of cutterheads and knives and (3) 7-1/2 HP re-trim saws.

NOTES: 


  Machine typically ran Redwood and Western Red Cedar 8-hours a day at 70 lugs per minute!


  Assembly section was replaced in 2003 and is capable of speeds to 200 FPM


  Box Dumper and Bin Conveyor are included at NO ADDITIONAL COST.


  Machine will easily run 120 lugs per minute and 200 FPM at the Press


  Equipment has been maintained to factory standards since new


  Taken out of service in January 2018
